About Us
Our story starts in the mountainous area of Arnold, California.

After retiring from his position as a Global logistics manager for Toyota and TESLA, Gary Durham started acting as the area’s handyman.
Through his business, he was often asked to help customers out with securing their trash from bears.
They were constructing bear boxes from 4x4s and wire, along with different one-off designs to keep trash away.
Gary was the local Macgyver to whom neighbors would turn to for a solution to the flimsy garbage can enclosures that were all over the place.
He tested hundreds of designs until he reached what he ended up calling The Better Bear Box. This is where Tom and Brandon come into the story.
